Description:
Are you a detail-oriented professional with strong tax expertise and a passion for financial accuracy? We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team and ensure full compliance with tax regulations while optimizing tax processes and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.)
⦁ Ensure full compliance with tax laws and stay updated on regulatory changes
⦁ Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits, reconciliations, and investigations
⦁ Maintain accurate tax records and documentation
⦁ Advise management on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities legally.
⦁ Support financial reporting with accurate tax entries and analysis.
Qualifications and Requirements:
⦁ Minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
⦁ 2–3 years’ experience as a Tax and Audit Accountant (preferably in the oil servicing industry)
⦁ Professional certification: ICAN or ACCA is required.
⦁ Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and processes (FIRS/LIRS)
⦁ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, QuickBooks)
⦁ Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
